Many mouth-watering events to savor during the first weekend in August.

In the heart of Normandy, the town of Livarot is hosting their two day, 21st Annual Foire aux Fromages (Cheese Fair) devoted to their famous cheese. The festival showcases the region's best cheeses and includes a competition to find who can eat the most cheese in one sitting.

The Maine Lobster Festival in Rockland, Maine, kicked off yesterday and runs through the weekend.
During the 2007 Lobster Festival, over 20,000 pounds of luscious lobster was prepared in our huge steamer on the shore (that's a show in itself!). In addition to lobster, you can choose from steamed and fried clams, fried Maine shrimp, shrimp cocktail, steamed mussels in wine and vegetable sauce, and many varieties of traditional summer fair food, all prepared in the traditional Maine way.

The residents of Key Largo, Florida are hosting the Key Largo Food and Wine Festival August 1-8. There will be more than 30 wine and food events including cooking demonstrations, wine dinners, food and wine pairing classes and art and wine shows.

Live bluegrass music, a craft fair and blackberry desserts can be enjoyed at the Blackberry Harvest Festival in Nelson County, Virginia this Saturday.

Beautiful, historic Natchez, Mississippi is hosting their Natchez Food and Wine Festival this Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The cuisine of local chefs will be showcased at several culinary events over the duration of the festival.
